Your love meant the world to me

Your love Meant the World to me
Nobody else made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
You always thought of us, her children and grandchildren
My mum, who is now high above watching down upon us.

Our family lost a beloved mother (my mum), Emma (Ann), on Mothering Sunday, March 14th 2021. My mum battled bowel cancer, but it never stopped her from being cheerful, friendly and loving to those all around her.

The earliest memory I have of my mum was her pushing me in the pram and taking me to school for the first time. Throughout the years, she was always there for me. She always gave me good advice and tried to point me in the right direction (even though I might not have always listened). When I had children of my own, she would lovingly play the grandma, and on occasions, the children would stay with her overnight (a great joy for them). When she moved to Kessingland, our visits to see her and my dad were always treasured. So many memories, memories that will always be cherished.

My mum died in a care home, with great caring nurses and carers looking after her. Unfortunately, I, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, couldn't be there in her final moments (because of COVID-19), but our love for her always encircled her.

My mum was always there for me. She may have gone, but she has left many happy memories within my heart, which will always be prized. I love you, mum x
